This form of treatment focuses on examining the relationship between thoughts, feelings and behaviors. It is a psychotherapeutic approach that addresses dysfunctional emotions, maladaptive behaviors and cognitive processes.  CBT is a  goal-oriented, systematic process that works well for those suffering from depression or anxiety.  It is problem-focused whereby the client and I work together to address the maladaptive behaviors, thoughts or emotions and select specific strategies to overcome any challenges.

Therapy sessions focus on problem solving and often homework is assigned to help clients reinforce the techniques being introduced.
